What is the typical group size?
Our expeditions are intentionally small, typically consisting of only 6 to 10 travelers. This ensures a more personal experience and allows us to visit places that larger groups simply can't reach.
What is included in the trip price?
Each expedition is different, but accommodations, in-country transportation, guided experiences, and select meals are typically included. You'll find a detailed list of inclusions on each expedition page.
Are flights included?
International airfare is not included, but don't worry—I’ll help you find the best flight options and guide you through the booking process to ensure everything aligns with the expedition.
Is every expedition centered around textiles and fashion?
Not exclusively. Every Threads & Terrain journey is rooted in culture, but each expedition has a different focus. Some highlight textiles, artisan workshops, and local fashion, while others emphasize wildlife, history, food, or adventure. Many combine several of these elements into one unforgettable experience.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is required for all Threads & Terrain expeditions to help protect you in case of unexpected cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen events.
